The idea for the Padelnation online store was born over 7 years ago on padel courts. One of our regular playing partners was absolutely lethal at the net — once he smashed the ball down, it was impossible to return. On top of that, he had a habit of rather enthusiastically “shouting” after winning a point. At first, his shout mostly made the rest of us laugh, but as the games went on, it started to get — mildly put — a bit annoying. Because of this rather impressive trademark shout, someone came up with the nickname “Punisher”.

Game after game, the “Punisher” lived up to his name, so the rest of us started thinking about how we could remind him of this honorary title. We wrote the word “PUNISHER” on white tape and secretly attached it to his racket before the next match (image above).The morning session was already halfway through when Punisher finally smashed the ball into the floor from the net — followed by his usual shout. At the same moment, he noticed the text on the tip of his racket, and the shout turned into laughter. That’s when the idea was born: the tip of a racket would be a pretty great place for your own name or a favorite phrase.

From that moment on, we went through several test versions, and today more than 20,000 protectors have already been delivered to happy padel enthusiasts all around Europe.

In November 2025, the online store was put on hold and the entire inventory was sold out. I recently became a father for the second time and decided that I want to focus more on my family now. My day job already takes up quite a bit of time, and I simply didn’t have the energy left for this small side business anymore. A heartfelt thank you to all our customers for the past years! ❤️
